Although the media coverage of the refugee crisis may have died down and the Calais "Jungle" may have been uprooted, thousands of migrants still remain in mainland Europe seeking asylum, and many more are still trying to escape dangers in their own country to seek refuge in Europe.

In this event we are joined by members of two grassroots charities working on the front line with refugees. They will share stories of journeys undertaken by asylum seekers including the role human smugglers are playing as well as discussing the disconnect between the media portrayal of refugees and the truth. We are also joined by a solicitor working with refugees in detention and their access to justice.
