Andleen has worked extensively in the UK as well as abroad on initiatives targeting diversity and welfare development. Qualified with a PGCE in Economics and Business from Manchester University she has worked in teaching establishments throughout the UK.  She originated the flagship project of the City Circle Saturday School harnessing over 80 volunteer professionals reaching hundreds of Muslim and non-Muslim youngsters in West London. She has been instrumental in providing an insight into the issues and challenges of youth in inner city mainstream schools and then providing project solutions to fill the gap.

Andleen sits on the board of the National Muslim Women’s Advisory Board (NMWAG)  and participated in many programmes ranging from encouraging women to play a more active role in civic, economic and social life to developing a project for a role modelling road show showcasing and exhibiting inspirational Muslim women from across the UK. She has represented the strengths of women in various seminars and talks and used the opportunity to initiate and support various good works involving women up and down the country.   In a personal capacity, she has developed international teaching projects in Bosnia-Hercegovina and China working on English language acquisition and development work.

Andleen is also a contributor in ethnic and mainstream media as an opinion maker on issues relating to the empowerment of Muslim women. She regularly speaks to international journalists as part of the FCO delegation on Engaging with British Muslims.
