Sid joined the City Circle in 2006 as teacher at the Saturday School. He was then asked to lead the school.  Following his visible contribution to the school, he was invited to join as a trustee.  Sid focuses on issues relating to education and youth aiming to improve the academic attainment of Muslim students. He supports other supplementary schools in replicating the success of the City Circle Saturday School.

Sid trained  as an Information Systems engineer, then attained an MSc in Business System Analysis and Design.  Following that, he taught ICT for 2 years in a secondary school in London as a participant in the Teach First program.  He then worked as a management and finance consultant at Ernst and Young.  He currently works for an international education NGO working to expand educational opportunities for children.
