Tosifa’s early professional life involved working in the charity sector on innovative projects to combat inner city deprivation, especially amongst disadvantaged young people. She then moved into local government and finally central government focusing initially on education and then for a number of years on community cohesion, media relations, race and faith/interfaith related policy. Much of her voluntary/ community work has heavily involved outreach, fundraising, event organising and project management. Tosifa taught at the flagship City Circle Saturday School before taking over the Helping London’s Homeless Project in 2006. This longstanding project has involved working with numerous homeless charities and shelters to provide food for rough sleepers, identifying skilled trustees for homeless charities and distributing grants/funding to those in need. Tosifa also runs the City Circle’s Orphans Project based in Kosovo. Following a successful fundraiser in 2008, this project is now helping 270 orphans to rebuild their lives. Tosifa is a graduate and by profession works in central government covering international related issues.
