Iran: America's Next War?

Iranian Revolutionary Guard

Speakers: Sir Richard Dalton and Mahan Abedin
Date: 20 Apr 2012
Time: 18:45 - 20:30
Venue: Abrar House, 45 Crawford Place, W1H 4LP

Event details
Since the 1979 revolution, Iran’s relationship with western countries namely, US and Britain, has remained unstable. Recent diplomatic relations between Britain and Iran have declined, following the raid on the British embassy in Tehran and increasing sanctions imposed on the country. In and amongst this, there is media rhetoric, supported by leading political heads, threatening military action.

Iran’s position is increasingly one of isolation in the region both via covert infiltration, media spheres and the physical Geography, with US and allied troops carefully positioned in surrounding countries. Deliberate media vilification is on the up rise with all sections of Iranian society under scrutiny.  Is there a war rampage, next target Iran, or is the US and Britain intercepting with an alternative agenda?

Join us for a lively discussion as we gain perspective on the growing emergence of Iran’s position in the region and its relation with the west.
