Title: FROM A MEDIA CAMPAIGN TO A CHARITY TREK

The City Circle invites you to a session with two, very different, presentations:
1) The "Islam is Peace" media campaign (www.islamispeace.org.uk) which was launched immediately after the July 2005 bombings in London, and has been funded entirely by private donations.
Throughout November 2007, hundreds of central London buses and tube carriages carried colourful adverts proclaiming, "Proud to be a British Muslim." Come and hear from one of the architects of the campaign about the experience so far and hopes and plans for the future.
2) TravelPak (www.travelpak.co.uk) offers you small group adventures of Pakistan. Be it the Northern Areas or the rich history and culture of the south, there are plenty of exciting activities to immerse yourself in along the way.
With the recent smooth transition to democracy, Pakistan deserves political stability and a chance to shake off the unfortunate perceptions that linger. However, it still remains one of the few countries in the world that is unaffected by mass tourism. This makes it a real adventure destination for those curious and eager enough to visit. Boasting five of the highest mountains in the world and home of K2, Pakistan has always enjoyed an international reputation for the serious mountain climber and trekker.
TravelPak differs in its approach by wanting people to experience the 6000 year old history, culture and people as well so as to provide visitors with as real insight into Pakistan. For those with a thirst for adventure, the possibilities for trekking, white-knuckle jeep rides, mountain biking or just soaking up the culture are endless.
