The City Circle is pleased to present 'Ramdan Detox' in which we shall discuss healthy 
dietary consumption during Ramadan. The expert presenters will provide advice on a Ramadan balanced diet, including dos and don'ts. The 
presenters will also discuss the changes that take place in the human body when we are fasting. 

Join us in what promises to be an interesting discussion with particular relevance to this blessed month. 

A free iftar will be served, capacity in the hall is limited so please arrive early to avoid dissapointment. 

Dr. Sinan Mir is currently working as a rheumatologist for the National Health Service at the Royal Free Hospital, North London. He completed his medical degree at St. George`s Medical School, London(Distinction) and holds a Bachelors degree in Nutrition (First Class Honours) from Kings College, London. A founding member of ULU ISOC, an umbrella organisation that links university islamic societies in London towards unified and pragmatic socially conscious action, he also writes for numerous local publications on issues of health and ethnicity. He is actively involved in humanitarian work in Bosnia, Kosovo and Kashmir and is currently studying a part time Masters degree in philosophy at the University of Birkbeck. 

Summra has a BSc. (Honours) Nutrition and Dietetics (4 years). She has experience in educating the public/ community on maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle and making them more aware of the health benefits associated with it. She was recently involved in carrying out a 6 week course on obesity and diabetes prevention for an Afro Caribbean ethnic group. Summra has carried out healthy eating talks within primary schools. She has done a number of training placements with qualified dietitians, within a hospital environment as well as in a community setting. Summra has undertaken training in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, The Kensington and Chelsea Primary Care Trust and the Hammersmith Hospital.
