Title: Ten Things You Should Know About Marriage
Speaker: Ajmal Masroor
Date: 11 February 2011 at 18:45
Venue: Abrar House, 45 Crawford Place, W1H 4LP
Event details:
Marriage enjoys a special status in Islam. Not only are Muslims encouraged to tie the knot once capable of doing so, but the bond itself is considered a "solemn covenant". The prophet (pbuh) teaches us that "Among all the permitted acts, divorce is the most hateful to God". Sustaining such a sacred bond requires the efforts of the couple and support from those around it. This talk will offer tips to help build and maintain strong marriages.
The talk is based on "Ten Things You Should Know About Marriage", a practical book by the speaker. The talk will cover Islamic principles and modern counselling techniques for the success of marriage.
The speaker's book will be available to buy and to be signed by the author.
The talk will be followed by Q&A and time to mingle over tea and biscuits.
